Monday, May 26th, 2008

The hype continues to build and in less than a month, Cyanotic will be hitting the road again, this time in support of our buddies 16 Volt and special guests Bella Morte. Its been a great honor over this past year, getting to share the stage with so many of our biggest influences, from Skinny Puppy, Front Line Assembly and Meat Beat Manifesto to Chemlab, Acumen Nation and now 16 Volt, the last remaining name on the list of bands that inspired us to start making music. We’re ecstatic to be participating in this tour and we’re happy to see so many fans sharing our enthusiasm. Come out and enjoy what is sure to be a couple of the best shows for this summer.

Here’s the rundown of updated shows Cyanotic will be joining for the tour (Boston now included after a flood of requests! Further proving fans actually do have say-so in this scene) –

We will be debuting new songs from our upcoming album, “The Medication Generation”, as well as a couple oldies people have been asking for (”Antithesis” anybody? Bueller?). We will have brand new shirt designs on sale, as well as posters and the new “Cyanotic Presents: Gears Gone Wild” compilation, featuring exclusive tracks from 16 Volt, Acumen Nation, DJ? Acucrack, Rabbit Junk, Enduser and Prude (the new project feat. Jared from Chemlab and members of Cyanotic and Caustic). 20 tracks for less than $10. This fucker’s a killer. We’re going to be launching full details within the week, including streaming audio of all the songs and pre-order info, so keep checking Bit Riot Records and Glitch Mode.

Please help spread news like a plague. Its always inspiring to see fans posting dates on the web and making more people aware. Thanks for the continual support. Its what keeps this band alive.

tours, new music, lotsa stuffs!

Thursday, May 15th, 2008

It’s been a quiet couple of first months in 2008, but with miserable winter behind us and spring in the air it’s time to fill in the fans who keep asking what’s up.

To start, Cyanotic will be playing a special event this Sunday @ Spot 6 in Chicago. The address is 3343 N Clark. Opening acts for the evening will be our good buddy Ad-ver-sary, all the way from Ottawa, as well as The Strand, all the way from Phoenix. Tickets are $7. This will be our first time playing new songs from forthcoming “Medication Generation” album and debuting a new batch of video projections. Come out and enjoy life away from a computer screen.

This summer, Cyanotic will be joining 16 Volt and Bella Morte for select dates throughout the midwest, east coast and Canada. Eris from Born Into Oblivion is going to be joining us as a live drummer, imported all the way from Canada to play, party and join us for bouts of sleep deprivation.

We are honored that 16 Volt asked us to be a part of this tour. This past year had us playing shows and touring with so many of the bands that inspired us to start making music in the first place. Skinny Puppy, Front Line Assembly, Acumen Nation, DJ? Acucrack, Meat Beat Manifesto, Chemlab and now 16 Volt, the last name on our list of major influences that we hoped to play with. Come out and enjoy the experience with us.

Check www.16volt.com/tour for full US tour dates.

To coincide with the tour, we will be selling the new compilation we have been assembling over the past few months. The end result is “Cyanotic Presents - Gears Gone Wild”, featuring exclusive tracks from 16 Volt, Acumen Nation, DJ? Acucrack, Rabbit Junk, end.user, genCAB, InfoCollapse, Prude (feat. members of Chemlab, Cyanotic and Caustic), mindfluxfuneral and many more.

Its a varied mix of heavy electronic rock, electro dancefloor bangers, hard drum n bass and weirdo oddities, and we’re looking forward to releasing it to the masses for an uber cheap price. We will be posting artwork and a full tracklisting soon.

We look forward to seeing our loyal east coast and midwest fanbase again, partying with our stalwart regulars, getting to drink some Yuengling and finally returning to Canada. See you all in the near future.

We appreciate help with promotion, something as simple as telling a friend or posting a topic on a message board. Spread the word. These will be some memorable shows.

Also, support our buddies in Rabbit Junk. New album “This Life Is Where You Get Fucked” out now. Sean of Cyanotic drops some old school gangsta samples throughout the songs “Black” and “Ghetto Blasphemer”. Check www.rabbitjunk.com for more.

aftermath of the Chemlab tour + holidaze salez

Monday, December 24th, 2007

Cyanotic just recently got back from our tour with Chemlab. Go check out images from the road Cyanotic site and Cyanotic Myspace to get a better idea of the chaos. 3500 miles in 6 days was a daunting task, but it was done, with a great live lineup consisting of special guests Adrian White (on live drums) of The Silent Alarm, Front Line Assembly, Strapping Young Lad and Dismantled and Dave Schjolden handling our keyborg contraption. It was loud, it was exhausting, it was total fun and total chaos, all at once.

ZE MIGHTY GLITCH MODE SALE

The new “Medication Generation” shirt or the classic “Our Role Models Are Machines” design with Glitch Mode imprint. Order ‘em separate or as a bundle with the “Transhuman 2.0″ double CD. Quantities are uber limited. All combo shirt/CD orders receive a free “T2.0″ 11×17 poster. Sale good from Xmas eve till whenever.

Chemlab tour w/Cyanotic

Tuesday, November 6th, 2007

Cyanotic live

Just home from the successful west coast tour with Acumen Nation and DJ? Acucrack, and now our good buddies in Chemlab have asked us to play a few shows. After seeing where the dates were, we couldn’t refuse, especially since this is Chemlab’s first tour in over 10 years! Now all those people asking us to come to south can be happy and all our supporters along the east coast can party with us for a 2nd round this year.

Here’s the dates –

Detonation Days tour w/ Chemlab, USSA(ex-Ministry and Jesus Lizard) and Skeleton Key

Dec 10th @ The Beta Bar - Tallahassee, FL
Dec 11th @ Back Booth - Orlando, FL
Dec 12th @ The Masquerade - Atlanta, GA
Dec 13th @ Sonar - Baltimore, MD
Dec 14th @ North Star - Philadelphia, PA
Dec 15th @ The Knitting Factory - New York, NY

More info at the Cyanotic Myspace.

Also of interest, a live improv jam of Chemlab’s “Suicide Jag” by Cyanotic featuring members of Acumen Nation can be found at YouTube right now. The electronics were accidentally cut within the first 20 seconds of the song, so we improvise and play it loop-free, guaranteed to be the most acoustic you will ever hear Cyanotic! Check it out here.

See you soon!

Cyanotic west coast tour wrap up

Thursday, October 25th, 2007

Goddamn that was good times.

Of 7 tours in 4 years, this run with the Acumen Nation / DJ? Acucrack
crew was easily the best ever. There were so many details to this
adventure that we couldn’t possibly post ‘em all in a single mailing
list announcement. Hence why we have been writing daily journal entries,
which you can read at Cyanotic’s MySpace if you like
reading about rock and/or roll, partying and general life on the road.

Big thanks to the Acu-crew! Sharing transportation (a short bus with
hydraulic ramps cleverly titled the “Acu-notic” steel beast) during this
tour made for many memorable times: driving through the barren deserts
of AZ watching “Total Recall” and sipping stolen Patron Silver at 3
a.m., Jamie and Ethan from the Acu-crew coming onstage and playing with
us for the Cyanotic cover of Chemlab, hanging out with our crews in
Rabbit Junk and Drukore in Seattle, matinées of “Shoot ‘em Up” in Salt
Lake City with $2.50 liters o’ beer(!), playing on Sunset Boulevard in
Hollywood, getting Eric from 16 Volt onstage for the Nitzer Ebb “Join in
the Chant” cover in Portland! We could go on and on, or you guys could
just go read the weblogs at Cyanotic’s MySpace to get
the full experience.

Big thanks to Eric Strombach, JP, Sumgrrl and the Rabbit Junk crew, Eric
Powell, DJ Thermal Detonantor, Eric the Pineapple Head(!), Bazil,
Rabbitron, Jesse and Nick in Cali, Steve Glover, Tony from
mindfluxFuneral, Jason Miles, Ryan Speck, Cheria, 5arah and Sadisco in
Phoenix, Chris and Karen (my birthday party was fun), Lori in St Louis,
Noble and Agatha. This touring stuff is way too much fun. Expect us
back soon.

Cyanotic live
We are uploading pics and video from the tour as we type.
Check ‘em out at Cyanotic’s MySpace and cyanotic-online.com now. Leave
comments. All that goodness. Footage from Chicago is still on its way.
We will update everybody when its available, ’cause it’s something any
Cyanotic fan definitely wants to see.

Footage is also available at Vampire Freaks, including a live video for “Order out of
Chaos” in Denver, CO and a full video interview.

For now, its back to work on the new album, still untitled, 10 songs
written. We will be entering a recording studio soon to do primary
demos, then pick ‘em apart, remix ‘em and get this new slab of
electronic death your way in a most timely fashion, hopefully before the
end of spring, with a full tour to follow.

All those in the south and east US, you might be seeing us sooner than
expected, more news soon.

This is the Big Push! Tour dates and new double CD!

Thursday, April 19th, 2007

Cyanotic and Glitch Mode Recordings are proud to announce a partnership with Chicago-based BitRiot Records, a new imprint of WTII Records. The up-and-coming hard electronic label will be releasing the “Transhuman 2.0″ double CD and future albums in association with Glitch Mode. Expect a full web launch in the coming weeks.

After a number of successful tours of the US and a sold out debut album, Cyanotic returns with “Transhuman 2.0″, an expansive double CD set containing new songs, remixes and guest appearances from members of Front Line Assembly, 16 Volt, Acumen Nation, Rabbit Junk and more. Also included is the band’s full length debut album, out of print, long in demand and digitally remastered for optimal clarity. Check out free mp3 downloads on our media page now!
