To clarify some recent changes to the tour lineup, Die Krupps was the original co-headliner for the tour, but it looks like passports and visa issues for the German-based band didn’t go come together in time, so unfortunately all fans of “To The Hilt” and synth-metal covers of Metallica will have to wait for the mighty return of Krupps-American style for awhile.

In the meantime, the tour is moving along with Dismantled in place of Die Krupps beginning on May 25th (Conjure One will be the replacement from the 20th-23rd). This is kind of a full circle event for us in the Cyanotic/Glitch Mode ranks, as some of you uber-fans might remember all the way back to summer 2005, when Dismantled and Cyanotic hit the road for a couple weeks together. This will be a quality reunion for both bands.

So, just to reiterate to the people who enjoy skimming through blog entries but don’t necessarily catch every word, the tour is moving forward, as planned. We are looking forward to seeing all you guys as we plow through the US and Canada over this next month. Expect a lot of life-on-the-road style videos featuring us Cya-guys in a variety of adventures on tour. We have 5 video cameras and constant access to a Wi-Fi source this time. This whole “documenting a tour” thing is going to work out this time!

See a whole lot o’ you guys in the very near future.

LAME! RE: TOUR

Friday, July 16th, 2010

Fans/friends who purchased VIP tickets for Phoenix, AZ through Providence, RI please contact unternull2010tour@gmail.com for refunds. Unfortunately, we don’t have access to those funds ourselves, otherwise I would be issuing the refunds myself.

To all listeners of The Medication Generation, thank you x10. The positive reviews and strong support are extremely reassuring for us to continue forging ahead amidst all the current chaos.

A lot of cancellation announcements from other bands always seem to have a tinge of ambiguous bullshit to ‘em, but we are laying out the facts. There were some last minute problems with transportation and finances. We have always been dilligent in making it out to play shows, but there were auto problems that became increasingly evident throughout the Portland/San Fran/Los Angeles shows and the decisions are now out of our control. Our fate rests with our tempermental automobile. Its pretty unstable after enduring 4000+ miles in 8 days.

Additionally, we are now minus an old friend, 60 lbs of spring loaded rusting metal that was the keyborg. We will miss that robo-demon construct, courtesy of Matt Flego’s mega imagination. In an effort to construct a replacement keyborg and get ourselves (and JP from Rabbit Junk/The Named) out to a remainder of the east coast/midwest tour stops, we are offering up tour merch for the CyaJunk crew to raise funds for the rest of tour. All orders will recieve a new Cyanotic vs Rabbit Junk digital EP featuring new tracks and remasters, including our unified cover "Gak Bitch" by The Shizit. Visit medicationgeneration.com to order. Thanks for your understanding and support during all the chaos. Its you, the listener, that keeps us thriving.

Please send any questions to sean@cyanotic.com or twitter.com/cyanotic.

Produced by Sean Payne and Jamie Duffy (of Acumen Nation and DJ? Acucrack)

A conceptual effort, The Medication Generation is based on the making of the album itself, exploring the lives of Cyanotic and those around them, as seen through the eyes of frontman Sean Payne over the past three years. Twisting between cycles of self-destruction, over-stimulation and moments of clarity polluted by mass media and present day society, Cyanotic’s sonic ADD makes The Medication Generation a defining record for heavy electronic music.

In support of The Medication Generation, Cyanotic will be joining forces with Unter Null (and Rabbit Junk/The Named on select dates) on the 2010 Detox Tour from July 6th to August 14th. For full tour dates and details please visit http://www.cyanotic.com or http://www.myspace.com/unternull.
